Advance pay processing is similar to Bonus pay processing.
One of the 2 methods used:
- Initialise Pay Period Method
- New Pay Record Method

There is an additional step when using the second method as Advance pay affects Normal pay. Re-processing is required for the normal record to take into account the new Advance pay.

Shows the identity for the advance report. A report ID serves 2 purposes: Storing parameters and Reporting payments made. Any change in the existing ID will results in previous data (for the report) being lost. It holds the primary key for the AdvanceProcess table.

Shows the description for the advance pay.

Shows the year for the advance pay.
Example: 2012

Shows the period for the advance pay.
Example: January = "1", February = "2", March = "3" etc.

If this box is ticked, no advance pay records will be created. You can preview results using the Advance Report.

Select this option to include employees whose cessation date falls within this pay period.

Select this option to include employees whose confirmation date is later than this pay period.

Select this option to include employees whose hire date is within this pay period.

Stores any fund deductions, such as CPF deductions etc.

Shows the basic rate option for the advance pay.
Example: Percentage / Fixed Amount

Shows the basic rate value for the advance pay.

Shows the Monthly Variable Component option for the advance pay.
Example: Percentage / Fixed Amount / No Advance

Shows the Monthly Variable Component value for the advance pay.

Shows the National Wage Council option for the advance pay.
Example: Percentage / Fixed Amount / No Advance

Shows the National Wage Council value for the advance pay.

Shows the type of salary received for the advance pay.
Example: Daily rated / Monthly rated / Hourly rated

Selecting this option will cause wages for Hourly and Daily rated employees to be calculated based on the fixed days in the employee's calendar.
If this option is un-selected, the working days will be calculated from the Work Pattern.
In either case, the hours per day is retrieved from the employee's pay details.

Shows the tax deduction for the advance pay.
