When a cost record is created, you need to select a cost group. Each employee's cost group is stored on the Cost Details record. The cost group is set to the default and the default is set in the Costing Default window.
Example: Monthly Group / Project Group

Shows the identity of the cost group. It is the primary key for the CostGroup table.
Example: Monthly Group / Project Group

Stores any description about the cost group.

Holds the sub period.

Example:
Sub period 1 = 1 Payment Group (Hourly, Daily & Monthly rated)
Sub period 2 = 2 Payment Group (Hourly, Daily & Monthly rated)
Sub period 3 = 3 Payment Group (Hourly & Daily rated), divided by 3 and the balance is placed in the last sub-period
Sub Period 4 = 4 Payment Group (Hourly & Daily rated)

Shows the option to choose when the company starts its financial year.
Example: January = "1' / February = "2" / March = "3" etc

Shows the identity of the exchange rate.

Shows the end date of the first sub period.
It is usually in the format: DD-MM-YYYY.

Shows the end date of the second sub period.
It is usually in the format: DD-MM-YYYY.

Shows the end date of the third sub period.
It is usually in the format: DD-MM-YYYY.

Shows the start of the map costing to the end of the pay group period.
Example: January = "1" / February = "2" / March = "3" etc

Shows the start of the costing year to the end of the pay group year.
Example: Current / Previous
